I immediately pre-ordered Come and Get It <\/em>last year after tearing through Kiley Reid\u2019s debut, Such A Fun Age<\/em>. The new release did not disappoint and offers a playful but thought-provoking slice of sapphic campus drama, set in 2017 at the University of Arkansas. Millie is a senior resident working her way through college and saving for a house deposit. When she agrees to allow Agatha, a visiting professor, to listen into dorm residents\u2019 conversations as part of her research into student attitudes to money, Millie\u2019s life quickly becomes complicated by unexpected feelings and blurred boundaries. A tense portrait of economic privilege, racism and social politics with a cast of brilliant, terrible, hilarious characters at its centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
