Good Press: A workers cooperative in Merchant City which is a bookshop, events and gallery space, which also features a risograph printer and open-access bookmaking studio called Sunday Print Service. They host wonderful local literary events and feature independent small press or self-published books, chapbooks and literature you’d be hard-pressed to find in a major bookstore with the aim of supporting people independently representing themselves and their communities through the publications. All directors and non-member staff are paid equally by the hour at the Living Wage, and authors who consign their works at the press have the option of receiving their monies or donating it to the cause of keeping Good Press up and running.
